Sclerotherapy is a popular method for eliminating varicose and spider veins.
How Does It Work?
A “sclerosing” solution is injected into the veins. This solution irritates and destroys the inner lining of the blood vessel so it ceases to carry blood – without damaging the surrounding tissues. The body then replaces this damaged vessel with imperceptible scar tissue.

Sclerotherapy eliminates unsightly veins and improves circulation by eliminating the abnormal, unnecessary vessels. Several injections may be needed to improve a specific area. The procedure is nearly painless with most patients noting a slight burning sensation during the injections.
